Arab Women's Union

Arab Women

The Arab Women’s Union is a social and cultural association founded in 1947 in Bethlehem. The Union aims to support local handicrafts and culinary traditions by offering assistance to vulnerable women and children. In 1968, the Union also launched an Embroidery Center that provides job opportunities to disadvantaged women. The embroideries are inspired by the traditional decorations of Palestinian dresses but sewn onto modern items such as pillows, wallets, bags, and accessories. The embroiderers receive raw materials from the Association and work from home, allowing them to manage their family life effectively.
